Lead Electronics Engineer
Purpose:
The Lead Electronics Engineer is required to provide hands on technical leadership to Team members and take responsibility for own projects technically. This will involve supervising and co-ordinating a team of engineers in the delivery of technical aspects of in line inspection system design and associated test equipment utilizing internal and external resources as required. The role will be ~30% Lead and 70% hands on technical project responsibility.
Tasks
Providing supervision including mentoring/coaching/development and performance management for a small team of engineers & associated functional technical guidance & support for NDT Global ART as a whole
Technical cross disciplinary leadership of work packages (sub modules) on project providing guidance and coaching to others
Lead teams of engineers to achieve project goals and reviewing designs as the design authority
Provide technical leadership to improving reliability, operability and maintainability of NDT Global ART developed solutions
Ownership of hardware design and development including embedded software with focus on system integrity for the creation of data sets/files that can easily be transferred to the operational side of the business.
Overall coordination & approval of functional Design Practices/Templates/Guidelines and NDT Global ART standards ensure compliance with international standards
Skills:
5 years plus relevant work experience
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
Must be proficient in spoken and written English
Specialist knowledge and experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment
Knowledge and experience in the detailed design and managing small teams to design and develop new products/equipment
