Applus+ is a leading global energy service provider looking to recruit a Base Manager
within our Teesside Base. This role will involve will have full accountability for the
running and growth of an established base that is part of the Applus Energy & Industry
The ideal candidate will have had responsibility delivering results in a similar market
and have a focus on Client and business development. It is therefore essential that
the individual has a strong grasp of financial management and is sufficiently diplomatic
to be able to work positively on the client’s site. The Base Manager will have a flexible
approach and stand out from the crowd. They will positively challenge the status quo
and will always look for new ways to add value and bring the vision to life.
Key Responsibilities of the Base Manager include but are not limited to:
Marketing inspection services, making proposals and tendering
for new inspection business within agreed levels outlined
in the management system.
Management of relationships with clients and staff.
To liaise between client and company personnel to ensure work
is carried out according to an agreed schedule and within the
terms of the contract.
Maintenance of inspection capability and resources in accordance
with the Company’s policies, standards and procedures
Co-ordination and execution of activities in accordance with approved
procedures for the base and site operations ensuring that the quality
system is adhered to on a day to day basis
Providing competent staff for inspection activities and ensuring that
technical staff are supervised, as necessary, by staff familiar with
the quality system and procedures
Ensuring the availability of technical resources to support Inspection.
Provide support to other Applus bases / locations with personnel
and/or equipment where required.
Accountable for the financial performance of the base and control
to ensure it meets sales, budget and profitability targets.
Ensure all Company site Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
are complied with.
The timely identification and reporting of any non-conformance
in the quality system and execution of corrective and preventative
