NDT Aerospace Technician – Poole

Applus+ is a leading global energy service provider looking to recruit a NDT Aerospace
Technician based within our Poole office on a permanent contract. This role will involve
being part of a high integrity driven NDT team.
Key Responsibilities of the NDT Technician include but are not limited to:
In house and on site NDT inspection, working within a motivated team.
Carrying out day-to-day NDT methods to aerospace prime specifications for clients
and keeping the Operations Manager up to date with job status and progress.
Accountable for aspects of each activity to ensure the safe and effective completion
of work on time and within budget.
Maintain timesheets and all other necessary paperwork
Keep up to date and understand, all current company, client and/or legislative
requirements affecting conventional and advanced NDT techniques and conduct
all work in accordance with them.
Produce written reports of inspections, as required, within the company’s quality
control procedures and to ensure all reports are produced and submitted to the
client within time and to company’s quality control procedures.
Assist in the training and development of less experienced members of staff.
What we would like from the NDT Technician:
Hold a minimum of 2 NDT disciplines including; UT, RT, PT & MT with one of the
disciplines being RT or UT, additional training and qualifications can be achieved
to the right candidate
EN4179 experience and knowledge
Knowledge of NADCAP audits
Knowledge of quality, health and safety and office certification
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients and be a strong
team player
Positive attitude and outlook towards all aspects of the NDT Technician role
Methodical, well organized and able to prioritise and manage own workload.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience of the NDT Technician:
Knowledge of composites and aerospace parts are essential
PCN SNT knowledge also an advantage
Knowledge of services provided by Applus UK.
