Job Title: Ultrasonic Immersion Supervisor
Reporting to: Ian Tomlinson
Location: NDT Services, Victory Park
Role Type: Permanent, Full Time.
Scope/Purpose:
To ensure the smooth running of the Ultrasonic Immersion Department.
To liaise directly with customers & provide Supervision to Ultrasonic
Immersion Department Technicians.
While the points noted below form the core of the role, we expect the
ideal candidate to be flexible and supportive of the business needs
as they evolve.

Liaison with Customers
Raising & contract review of Job Sheets
Allocation of Work
Arranging of Shift Patterns
Testing of Customers parts
People Management
10x Journeys (appraisals)
Arranging Drivers deliveries / collections
Writing of reports / certificates of conformity
Quoting / Generating New Clients
Goods In / Out Responsibility
Key Relationships
Required to liaise with others inside/outside the department in a proactive
and reactive manner in order to provide or obtain information to keep
people informed so that work is completed effectively
The job holder will also build relationships and contacts to facilitate future
exchange of information.
Required skills and experience
Liaising with customers – Must demonstrateexcellent verbal and
written communications skills in order to build/maintain customer
relationships via email, Telephone and occasionally face to face
meetings.
Excellent organisational skills – Accurately plan and manage
realistic working loads for your team in order to meet agreed
customer completion dates that don’t compromise quality of
inspection.
People Management – Must demonstrate exceptional people
skills in order to communicate effectively with your team and
show compassion when needed.
Computer literate – Main applications: Microsoft Windows,
Outlook also including internal and customer portals.
Generation of accurateinternal job packs – To interpret customer
purchase orders and subtract relevant information in order to
raises an internal job pack.
10x Journeys – Yearly appraisals conducted 1 to 1 with your team
members. Must be confident in 1 to 1 situations and understand
how to actively listen in order to conduct the appraisal and formulate
a 10x journey for the year ahead.
Arranging national and international deliveries / collections – Basic
understanding of maths is required to correctly assign gross and
net weights to collection requests and pro formas.
Ultrasonic inspection Level 2 experience would be advantageous.
