Position Summary
Purpose
This job serves the operational side of the organization’s business . API 510 / API 570 – Senior NDT (Non-destructive testing) Technician is responsible for managing a team of technicians in facilitating the analysis of techniques in terms of non-destructive testing. He is the head who overseas technicians in NDT testing methods and processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
FunctionsCarry out NDT of static mechanical equipment, piping, risers, cranes and structures.
Compile reports of inspections as per company requirements, templates.
Assist the Offshore Inspection Engineer (OIE) and ensure completeness of inspection work packs prior inspection team mobilization.
Assist the Offshore Inspection Engineer (OIE) and supervise planned inspections, opportunity inspections and MCDR / Anomaly investigations of process plant, vessels, pipe work and structures to support enhancement of the asset integrity assurance programs.
Assist the Offshore Inspection Engineer (OIE) and Review and report inspection contractor findings, provide specialist support and liaise between groups both offshore and onshore regarding definition of Quality Plans for remedial works required. Ensure remedial works are undertaken, inspected and reported in accordance with agreed Quality Plans.
Assist the Offshore Inspection Engineer (OIE) and advise offshore operations/maintenance regarding application and suitability of permanent and temporary repairs on static mechanical equipment, piping and risers.
Safety
Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Other
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise and direct NDT technicians to ensure operational efficiency with the implementation of the appropriate standards of safety and quality control in non-destructive testing activities, according to Oceaneering procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
IRATA rope Access Level 1
ASNT Level II in UT, MPT, EC, LPT & RT
API certified Inspector (API 510, API 570)
Valid Offshore Safety Training Certificate (OPITO), IMIST
Fit for Offshore visits
Minimum 5 years in-service inspection experience either in the onshore or the offshore oil & Gas industry, depending on the requirement.
Strong knowledge level of inspection procedures, inspection techniques as well as inspection management systems such as RBI.

Working Conditions
This position is considered ONSHORE/OFFSHORE which is characterized as follows.
Almost exclusively indoors/outdoors during the day and occasionally at night
Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
Work surface is stable (flat)
