Radiographer

Applus+ is a leading global energy service provider looking to recruit a Radiographer based
within our client’s site in Abingdon. This role will be responsible for carrying out in-service
and pre-service Non Destructive Testing / Inspections of a variety of Aerospace and
Industrial components.

Key Responsibilities of the Radiographer include but are not limited to:

Carry out Radiography & DPI of Butt welds, recording & reporting of results,
calibrations & control checks
Liaison with Company appointed RPS’s in particular regards to Local Rules
requirements, and company approved procedures
Responsible for ensuring all Controlled Area’s on site/base comply with the
Local Rules and IRR regulations
Ensure all Radiographic results are reported correctly with regards to clients
and companies codes and procedures and all work is carried out in
accordance to Site/Base Local Rules.
Responsible for making sure all Radiographic equipment is signed in and
out as appropriate and is kept in good working order
Working to all RAD specific procedures including Stamp Procedure,
Work flow etc.
Maintaining all RAD equipment including dark-room in a safe and tidy manner
Following all safety rules at all times, reporting any dangerous situations
to the RPS or Supervisor
What we would like from the Radiographer:

Qualified in the following methods;

– PCN L2 Radiography

– PCN L2 DPI
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients and be a strong
team player
Positive attitude and outlook towards all aspects of the Credit Controller role
Methodical, well organised and able to prioritise and manage own workload
Strong attention to detail
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience of the Radiographer:

Radiation Protection Supervisor
