Applus+ is a leading global energy service provider looking to recruit an NDT Supervisor to be
based within our client’s site in Ellesmere Port. This role will be responsible for all aspects of the
safe implementation of daily NDT inspections, calibration and maintenance of equipment and
control of personnel on site.

Key Responsibilities of the NDT Supervisor include but are not limited to:

Responsible for the running of the operational requirements of all matters within
the site/base and the staff reporting directly to the Site NDT/Manager.
Stand in for Senior Site Supervisor as and when required, primarily during
holiday periods.
Responsible for all aspects of each project to ensuring the safe and effective
completion of work on time and to agreed quality standards.
Reporting of site matters to the Site/NDT Manager on a regular and as required
basis.
Update the Applus monthly scheduled inspection scopes planning sheet.
Carrying out a site visit prior to initiating inspection work to assess any blocks
to progress.
Scheduling and implementing daily work plan and toolbox talk to the relevant site
NDT resources.
Responsible for ensuring all Work scopes and Job Pack preparation are
completed accurately and to laid down standards.
Overview of manning and resources through communication with other supervisors
and Site/NDT Manager.
Review of daily / weekly time sheet returns.
Direct communication with Applus Senior Supervisor regarding work planning
and work.
Ensure site compliance with UKAS requirements equipment calibration status,
personnel.
Competence and NDT reporting in a timely manner.
Perform monthly onsite safe visit.
What we would like from the NDT Supervisor:

Qualified in PCN L2 UT, MPI, DPI & Radiography
Good communication and IT skills, familiar with the use of Excel spread sheets.
Knowledge in all NDT inspection techniques.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients and be a strong
team player
Positive attitude and outlook towards all aspects of the NDT Supervisor role.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience of the NDT Supervisor:

Knowledge or qualified in Phased Array/TOFD examinations.
