Portable Hardness Tester for Pipes Less than 20mm
Dear Sir,
One of our customers is looking for an equipment or product which can verify the heat treatment process after welding the pipes. It has been understood that hardness checking is one of the way to verify the heat treatment process, can anybody suggest the us a suitable hardness tester?

Mechanical hardness testers such as Equotip (It is a Swiss make) are available but whether the readings will be accurate needs to be verified especially since the diameter is small.
Eddy Current Testing could be another option to verfiy the heat treatment. Pl. give more details about the material, type of heat treatment etc. so that better responses are obtained,
