    Hi

Apologies in advance if anything seems vague or doesn’t make sense as NDT is not my background.
We currently have a TruFlux wet mpi unit from tuboscope that requires the current output to be checked as per ASTM E709-15 20.3.4.
    The equipment spec which i hope helps is ‘Main control cabinet 40.34 3x400VAC / 50Hz / 28kVA / TN-S’.
    Magnetising head model CA-500-YLTD-660C30.

When it was it was being commissioned this was identified as an issue but the project went ahead. The main problem is that it is not AC or DC as it is a pulsed unit and therefore not easy to verify.
If anyone has any experience or knowledge on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Contact the manufacturer or try to get an exception to use an indirect method.
To measure the pulse current is difficult , depend on shape and time .
