Some specific responsibilities of NDT technicians may include:
Choosing and setting up the appropriate NDT equipment and techniques for a given inspection or testing task.
Following established procedures and guidelines to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Interpreting and evaluating test data to identify defects or problems.
Communicating test results to relevant parties, such as supervisors or clients.
Maintaining and calibrating NDT equipment as necessary.
Keeping accurate records of test results and equipment maintenance.
Ensuring that all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
