The Ghawar Field is an oil field located in Saudi Arabia. It is the largest oil field in the world, with an estimated production capacity of 5 million barrels per day. The field was discovered in 1948 and has been in production since 1951. It is operated by Saudi Aramco, the national oil and gas company of Saudi Arabia.
