MMAW or SMAW Welding
MMAW welding, also known as manual metal arc welding or shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), is a popular and versatile welding process that is used to join a wide variety of metals, including mild steel, cast iron, and stainless steel. In this process, an electrode coated in flux is used to produce the weld, and the area is protected from contamination by the flux as it is consumed during the welding process.
One of the key advantages of MMAW welding is its flexibility and versatility. The process can be used in a variety of different environments and on a variety of different materials, and the flux coating on the electrode provides protection from contamination and improves the quality of the weld.
