I,m looking for some old school Ut specialist that can answer me some questions.

I,m currently starting a project which gone use AWS D1.1 acceptance criteria, to be exact table 6.3 (cyclically loaded nontubular connections in tension) and im lost.

I can easily count indication rating (6.25.6.5), which, when larger then reference (1.6mm) are on minus (-1dB for example), but then I hit the 6.3 table and I have “Discontinuity Severity Class”, which is +10 or +8 in Class A (large indications), +13 or +11 in Class D (minor).

How does the indication rating correspond with this severity class?

What exactly is this +10 etc from the table? How do I evaluate indications using indication rating and this table?
