    Dear all,
We are taking a job IRIS for C7060 material (Cu90/Ni10) with OD12 x Thk 0.8mm. Because the Turbine 120 is oversizes comparing to the tube, we just order a new set of probe with turbine 8mm in dia and the transducer 15MHz. I’d like ask whether this frequency can use to inspect the tube? And what is the sound velocity in this material (Cu90/Ni10)?.

Sound velocity is approx 4760 m/s longitudinal wave. Velocity is not the concern, later you can change manually. The main concern is your probe frequency and its focal length. Make sure the focal length of your probe is according to your tube OD. And in my point of view you should go for 20MHz and keep 15MHz as sphere. Check the result of both the probe before inspection.
