PAUT probe for casting surface?

PAUT probe for casting surface?
Hi every professional NDT engineer,
I have not the experience for PAUT on casting structures/welds, as you know that casting surface is not eveness, so always lose data, or the sensitivity level. I suppose the hydroform probe is good choice, but I did not find out this kind of probe from OLYMPUS, it will be great if you can share your precious experience. thanks a lot! -

1. PAUT hard wedge is not suit for casting inspection due to the coupling, especially for concave or limited structure.
2. if necessary, ATFM technique is OK and is better for wave surface, or hydroform probe may solve your problem.Maybe you can look into Olympus A24 series phased array probes…
