Apave Canada has a full-time union opening in its Advanced NDT Services department for a PAUT technician in British Columbia, listed at Prince George. The technician performs phased array inspections of pipeline welds, piping systems and tie-in welds on construction and maintenance projects, analyses the data and produces reports. CGSB UT Level II together with PCN PAUT Level II is mandatory.

What the job involves
- Perform PAUT on pipeline welds, piping, tie-ins and related infrastructure
- Analyse PAUT data to identify, characterise and record indications against project specifications and standards
- Write timely, accurate reports and maintain inspection records
- Keep PAUT equipment and software calibrated, verified and working properly
- Coordinate with project, engineering, QA and construction staff and take part in safety meetings and hazard assessments
What you need
- CGSB UT Level II plus PCN PAUT Level II (both required)
- Additional CGSB tickets (MT, PT, RT, ET or CEDO) are an asset
- Pipeline, terminal, facility or integrity project experience preferred
- Confident using reporting software and digital data tools; able to travel between project locations
- Legally entitled to work in Canada; alcohol and drug screening may be required
