NDE/NDT Projects Technician

MISTRAS Services is hiring CGSB-certified NDE technicians for project work, with openings listed in Calgary, Fort McMurray, Sherwood Park and Red Deer in Alberta as well as Saskatchewan and Ontario. The work involves testing welds, pipelines, pressure vessels and tanks, either from the ground or on IRATA rope access, and reporting the findings. Candidates need a CGSB ticket in at least one NDE method and must be prepared to travel to site.

What the job involves

• Test welds, pipelines, vessels and storage tanks with NDE methods that fall within your certification
• Reach elevated or confined areas on IRATA rope access where needed
• Interpret results and write NDE and inspection reports
• Keep CGSB certifications (e.g. UT2, MT2, PT2) current
• Follow safety standards, regulations and company procedures on every job

What you need

• CGSB ticket in at least one NDE method
• IRATA certification at any level, or keen to complete a Level 1 course
• High school diploma or equivalent; basic computer and Microsoft Word skills; good written and spoken English
• Valid driver's licence, 3-year driver's abstract and a clear pre-access drug and alcohol test
• Able to lift 55 lb, comfortable at heights and willing to travel to site
