Relativity Space wants a highly experienced phased array inspector for its Terran R rocket work, based at a government partner site in Stennis, Mississippi. The inspector writes part-specific ultrasonic techniques, supports feasibility, POD and qualification studies, and judges PAUT data against acceptance criteria. A current PAUT Level II and at least 10 years in NDE are required.

What the job involves
- Work with UT specialists and NDE engineers on feasibility studies, POD studies and qualification plans
- Write and publish ultrasonic techniques tailored to individual complex parts
- Review digital UT and PAUT data files for quality and apply accept/reject criteria
- Apply inspection plans, procedures and techniques accurately in production
What you need
- Current or recent PAUT Level II, with proof of classroom training and earlier NAS 410 or SNT-TC-1A certificates
- Extensive shear-wave PAUT calibration, acquisition and analysis experience
- At least 10 years in NDE, 5 of them in aerospace manufacturing or another tightly regulated industry
- Experience reading drawings and work instructions and creating part-specific techniques
- Must pass a US government background check to work at the Stennis site
- Nice to have: ASNT UT Level III, TFM/PCI/PWI experience, CIVA or similar software, and ET, PT or VT Level 2
Pay and conditions
- Pay: USD 42.64-63.96 per hour, as published by Relativity Space.
