Relativity Space is hiring a senior ultrasonic NDE inspector for its Terran R rocket program, working at a government partner site in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The inspector creates part-specific ultrasonic techniques, supports feasibility, POD and qualification studies, and reviews UT and PAUT data against acceptance criteria. A current UT certification at Level II or III gained in aerospace or nuclear work, plus at least 5 years in NDE, is required.

What the job involves
- Team up with UT specialists and NDE engineers on feasibility studies, POD work and qualification plans
- Create, document and release ultrasonic techniques for specific complex parts
- Review the quality of digital UT and PAUT data files and apply accept/reject criteria
- Produce NDE techniques tailored to many different complex components
- Apply inspection plans, procedures and techniques correctly day to day
What you need
- Current UT certification at Level II or III, gained in aerospace or nuclear work
- Records of NDE classroom training and earlier NAS 410 or SNT-TC-1A certifications, to be shown before the onsite interview
- At least 5 years of NDE experience, including 3 in aerospace manufacturing or another heavily regulated industry
- Able to read drawings and engineering work instructions, with experience writing part-specific techniques
- Must clear a US government background check for on-site work at the Cape Canaveral partner location
- Nice to have: ASNT UT Level 3, Level 2 in other methods (UTT, UTSW, PAUT, PT, VT/CWI, ET/ECA) and experience inspecting additively manufactured material
Pay and conditions
- Pay: USD 35.20-52.80 per hour, as published by Relativity Space.
- Hourly hiring range $35.20 to $52.80
