StandardAero is hiring an NDT Level II inspector in Maryville, Tennessee for its gas turbine engine, component and accessory repair work. The inspector performs FPI, MPI, eddy current, ultrasonic and visual inspections under the Repair Station Manual, FAA Part 145 rules and manufacturer data. Current or previous Level II certification, documented MPI and FPI on-the-job training and the ability to certify to NAS 410 are required.

What the job involves
- Carry out FPI, MPI, eddy current, ultrasonic and visual inspections to FAA rules and OEM requirements
- Keep NDT equipment calibrated and serviceable, running operational checks every day
- Prepare parts and complete preliminary, hidden damage, in-process and final inspections before release
- Plan inspection workload with production and engineering and mentor NDT staff
- Review technical data, revise procedures and help develop salvage schemes
- Support warranty evaluations and investigations and write reports
What you need
- Current or previous NDT Level II certification
- Documented on-the-job training in MPI and FPI
- Certifiable to NAS 410, passing general, specific and practical exams (80% average, 70% minimum each)
- Proven ability to interpret and use service bulletins, technical manuals and work specifications
- Authorized to work in the US and meet ITAR US person requirements
- Preferred: multi-method aerospace MRO experience and knowledge of FAA Part 145 and ISO 9000
