SUMMIT Inspection Services, which has provided in-service inspection to the western Canadian oil and gas sector since 2004, is hiring a CGSB-certified NDT technician for a truck shop in Alberta's Wood Buffalo region. The technician uses NDT to find defects on heavy equipment, evaluates results against codes, documents findings and mentors assistants. The job is camp-based on a 14-on/14-off fly-in fly-out rotation from Calgary or Edmonton and requires CGSB UT II, MT II and PT II plus truck shop experience.

What the job involves
- Detect deficiencies on heavy equipment with NDT methods and inspection procedures
- Evaluate results against the applicable codes, standards and specifications
- Record findings and draw field sketches to approved procedures
- Care for shared equipment, report repair needs and keep maintenance records
- Mentor assistant crew members and handle client questions professionally
What you need
- CGSB UT II, MT II and PT II (minimum)
- 2+ years as a certified NDT technician
- Truck shop experience (required)
- OSSA Fall Protection, Emergency First Aid, and Confined Space Entry and Rescue tickets before starting
- CWB and IRATA certifications are assets; valid driver's licence and pre-access drug and alcohol test
