What the job involves

Carry out and interpret UT, RT, MT and PT inspections on manufactured and in-service parts
Travel to customer premises for inspection work, sometimes staying overnight
Record results in line with the governing procedures
Act as the contact for customers with repeat inspection needs
Keep personal NDT experience logs for certification renewals
Gain further method qualifications, with training provided, and assist sales in technical discussions

What you need

EN 4179 Level 2 (Level 3 welcome) in some or all of UT, PT, ET, RT and MT
Phased array UT and array eddy current are desirable
Logged experience hours for each method held, plus documented aerospace hours
Inspection experience on metallic and composite parts, in manufacture or in service
Category B driving licence and willingness to travel at short notice
Able to obtain UK SC clearance; good spoken and written English

Pay and conditions

Permanent, 37.5 hours a week with flexi-time
25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with an option to buy up to a week more
Pension, success share bonus and paid overtime; occasional extended hours or shift work
