AAR is hiring an NDT aircraft inspector for its Aircraft Services operation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The inspector uses NDT and visual methods on aircraft, engines, components and materials to confirm airworthiness, records results to customer and AAR procedures, and may take technical responsibility for the NDT facility. NAS 410 Level II in at least one method such as UT or ET, 3-4 years of aircraft NDT experience and an FAA Airframe rating are required.

What the job involves

Perform NDT of aircraft and components to customer work instructions and AAR procedures
Process incoming and outgoing material to quality control requirements and resolve rejects with suppliers
Record every inspection on the required customer paperwork
Select methods and techniques, and prepare, verify and approve NDT procedures and work instructions
Provide or direct training, examination and certification of personnel, and audit outside agencies when required

What you need

NAS 410 Level II in one or more relevant methods, such as UT or ET
3-4 years of aircraft NDT experience under NAS 410
FAA Airframe rating required; full A&P license preferred
Able to read ADs, service bulletins, SRMs and NDT specifications; familiar with FAR 145 repair station rules
Associate degree or 4 years of related experience or training
Physically capable of lifting and carrying loads of up to 75 lb
