Intertek-PSI is looking for a certified welding inspector with Level II ultrasonic experience in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The inspector tests and inspects structural steel during erection on building and pipeline sites and makes occasional plant visits. AWS CWI certification and experience with D1.1 structural steel and UT Level II are required.

What the job involves

Plan and perform the inspection and testing needed to confirm component quality, recording results accurately
Visually examine in-progress and completed welds for defects like undercut, cracking and porosity
Measure parts with rulers, calipers, gauges and micrometers to verify dimensions
Document quality assurance data following company procedures
Report significant problems and recommend process improvements

What you need

AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
Background in AWS D1.1 structural steel work and UT Level II
Able to read blueprints and interpret tolerances
High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license with acceptable record
Available for off-shift schedules and overtime
Preferred: welding technology degree and construction materials testing experience
