Intertek's Asset Integrity Management team in Houston, Texas is seeking a radiation safety officer who can also work as an RT Level II technician. The role runs Intertek's radiation safety program and goes into the field as needed to carry out radiographic inspections to codes and job requirements. Previous RSO certification, ASNT RT Level II, three years of field experience, a state card and a TWIC card are required.

What the job involves
- Run the radiation safety program and track new and existing radiation regulations
- Measure radiation levels of products, materials and facilities
- Supervise employees who handle radioactive materials
- Interpret radiographic film and evaluate it against code acceptance criteria
- Calibrate and set up equipment, then evaluate results against codes, standards and specifications
- Train and guide trainees and Level I technicians and report NDT results
What you need
- Previously certified and experienced as a Radiation Safety Officer
- ASNT Level II certification for code-quality radiography
- 3+ years of field experience
- Valid state radiographer card, driver's license and TWIC card
- High school diploma or equivalent and ability to pass a physical
- Preferred: Level II in UT thickness, MT or PT, CR experience and rope access certification
