Intertek-PSI, Intertek's construction testing and inspection business, is hiring a multi-certified NDE technician for work in Seattle and Bellevue, based in Tukwila, Washington. The technician performs magnetic particle and ultrasonic thickness testing and reports results against applicable codes. Three years of NDT inspection experience, prior MT and UT Level II certification and a CWI or ICC welding certification are required.

What the job involves
- Carry out magnetic particle examinations on ferromagnetic parts with yokes, prods or coils, using dry or wet fluorescent particles
- Measure thickness ultrasonically with digital readout or A-scan instruments
- Set up and calibrate equipment and judge results against codes, standards and specifications
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to trainees and Level I staff
- Compile and report findings from assigned tests
- Keep up with advances in inspection and NDE and pursue continuing education
What you need
- 3+ years of NDT inspection experience
- Previous Level II certification in MT and UT
- CWI or ICC welding certification (CWI and WABO preferred)
- Knowledge of AWS and API code requirements
- A driver's license and a good driving record
- Able to work independently and communicate well in English
Pay and conditions
- Pay: USD 35-55 per hour, as published by Intertek.
- Pay range $35-$55 per hour based on skills, experience and qualifications
