L3Harris Technologies is hiring a NAS 410 Level 2 NDI specialist in Waco, Texas to inspect metallic and non-metallic aerospace structures on aircraft going through maintenance or modification. The specialist uses UT, PT, ET, MT and RT, decides whether hardware is fit to stay in service and documents the results. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance are required.

What the job involves
- Inspect parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies and aircraft structures with UT, PT, ET, MT and RT
- Operate NDT equipment and judge whether hardware can remain in use
- Record results on paper and electronic records and sign off completed work
- Work on check aircraft and help develop procedures for metallic and composite structures
- Support hands-on training of other NDI staff
What you need
- Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, graduate degree with 2, or 8 years without a degree
- Current NAS 410 Level 2, backed by recently logged hours as an NDT inspector (UT and ET are strongly favoured)
- At least 6 months of aircraft or aerospace NDT experience
- US citizen able to obtain and keep a DoD security clearance
- Preferred: active Secret clearance, composite aircraft experience, A&P school training and Navy or Air Force NDI experience
Pay and conditions
- Onsite; 4/10 schedule Monday to Thursday, with possible 8-hour Fridays
- Overtime and work outside normal hours when needed
