MISTRAS Group is looking for an industrial radiographer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to perform radiographic testing and judge weld quality against codes and client specifications. The work covers outages, maintenance, fabrication and inspection projects and may involve nights, weekends and travel. Level II RT certification, a valid state radiographer card and a TWIC card are required.

What the job involves
- Radiograph welded components and industrial assets
- Prepare, calibrate and run RT equipment
- Read radiographs to assess weld integrity and detect flaws like cracks, porosity, slag and incomplete fusion or penetration
- Check that welds meet ASME, AWS and API codes as well as client requirements
- Produce accurate inspection reports and records
- Comply with radiation protection rules and company safety procedures
What you need
- Level II RT certification backed by industrial radiography experience
- Valid state radiographer card; IRRSP certification preferred
- Experience interpreting RT results and evaluating weld quality, with knowledge of welding and inspection codes
- Comfortable reading drawings, procedures and specs
- Valid driver's license, TWIC card, and a high school diploma or GED
- Clear a DISA background check and drug and alcohol test
- A plus: UT, MT, PT or VT certifications, offshore safety training and CR/DR experience
