Oceaneering is taking on an NDT apprentice at its Immingham branch for a three-year programme. Apprentices assist Level 2 technicians on sites across the UK while being released to the company's own training centre to gain Level 2 MPI, LPI, UT and radiography, ending with Radiation Protection Supervisor training. No NDT qualification is needed to start, but a driving licence and flexible availability are.

What the job involves
- Assist Level 2 technicians with testing and prepare upcoming jobs
- Look after the work area and idle equipment, including loading and unloading
- Complete reports, training records and calibration logs
- Carry out inspections as qualifications and competence are gained
- Work from the local branch and at client sites around the UK
What you need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Keen interest in NDT; basic knowledge helpful but not required
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
- Good communication, organisation, timekeeping and Microsoft Office skills
- Welding or engineering knowledge is an advantage
Pay and conditions
- Three-year structured programme with release to in-house training courses
- Training towards Level 2 MPI, LPI and UT, Level 1 and 2 radiography and RPS; IRATA Level 1, hardness testing and PMI may be added
- Flexible working across days, nights and weekends as work demands
