The inspector leads specialized inspection scopes, analyzes complex data and acts as a technical expert for clients and engineers. What the job involves
- Apply advanced NDE techniques to ASME, API and AWS codes and client specifications
- Configure and run scanning systems and other advanced inspection equipment
- Gather and analyze complex inspection data and deliver detailed reports and recommendations
- Explain findings to clients and engineers and confirm objectives are met
- Mentor junior technicians and assistants on advanced setups in the field
- Support job planning, including scan plans, procedures and technique qualification
What you need
- High school diploma or GED
- Driver's license with an acceptable driving history
- Documents supporting Team Level II qualification or certification
- Able to pass drug, alcohol and background screening and obtain TWIC or DISA access
- Advanced credentials sought include AUT PA-UT and UTSW, plus API 510/570/653, CWI, AMPP or CR/DR
- Preferred: multiple conventional Level II/III certifications and refinery, petrochemical, pipeline or fab shop experience
