Team, Inc. is hiring a Level II NDE technician in Harbor City, California to test and inspect equipment at client sites. The technician works in one or more certified methods such as RT, MT, PT, UT or VT, leads assistants in the field and reports results. A high school diploma, a driver's license and documents supporting Team Level II certification are required.

What the job involves

  • Test in your certified methods to company procedures, client specs and applicable codes
  • Interpret and evaluate results and record them on forms or digital reporting platforms
  • Direct NDT assistants and support staff during field operations
  • Calibrate and run NDT equipment safely
  • Agree job scope, access and findings with project managers and clients
  • Keep reports, timesheets and safety records current, and follow radiation safety practice on RT jobs

What you need

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Documentation to support one or more Team Level II qualifications under its written practice
  • Driver's license and acceptable driving history
  • Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol and background checks and obtain TWIC, DISA or other site access
  • Preferred: several Level II certifications, API 510/570/653, CWI or AMPP, and IRRSP or a state radiographer card for RT
  • Preferred: refinery, petrochemical plant, pipeline or fabrication shop experience

Pay and conditions

  • Pay: USD 52,000-72,800 per year, as published by Team, Inc..
  • Anticipated pay $52,000-$72,800 a year plus benefits
  • Works from a Team field base or directly at client locations, with periodic out-of-town travel
  • Extended shifts, weekends and alternative schedules when required
  • Benefits include paid holidays and vacation, a 401(k) match, overtime and paid travel with per diem
