GE Vernova is hiring a second-shift quality assurance operator at its Greenville, South Carolina gas turbine site to carry out penetrant and magnetic particle inspection. The operator also performs in-process and final quality checks on parts and assemblies. Level II NDT certification is required, or must be earned within six months of starting.

What the job involves

Perform liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and related nondestructive quality tests
Run in-process and final quality checks on assemblies, tools, fabrications and parts with standard and special gauges
Support defect resolution and rework nonconforming parts
Carry out workstation audits and maintain accurate records
Move material using forklifts and jib/gantry cranes once trained
Contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement

What you need

High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Relevant Level II NDT certification, or completing Level II classroom work and exams within 6 months
At least 1 year of quality or manufacturing experience
Able to read blueprints and manual gauges such as micrometers and calipers
Able to lift up to 40 lb and wear required PPE
Pass a job-class assessment, background check and drug screen; US work authorization without sponsorship

Pay and conditions

Pay: USD 29.14-30.40 per hour, as published by GE Vernova.
Pay $29.144-$30.401 per hour
$1.00 per hour shift premium on second shift
