Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is hiring an FPI inspector for its manufacturing services site at Seletar Aerospace View, Singapore. The inspector processes and evaluates parts using fluorescent penetrant, guides trainees and Level 1 staff, and prepares technique sheets that go to the NDT Level 3 for approval. A diploma in engineering and FPI Level 2 with at least 400 hours of FPI experience are required, and night shifts may be needed.

What the job involves
- Set up and standardise FPI equipment, process parts and accept or reject indications
- Guide trainees and Level 1 staff within the scope of certification
- Apply the P&W codes, standards and contract documents that govern the method
- Perform system performance checks to the process standard
- Draft and maintain procedures and technique sheets for NDT Level 3 sign-off
- Contribute to continuous improvement and CORE activities
What you need
- Diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline
- FPI Level 2 with a minimum of 400 hours of FPI work
- Familiar with inspection gauges, tools, drawings and SOPs
- Must pass a Jaeger #1 near-vision test and a colour blindness test
- Able to handle parts and fixtures using lifting aids
