Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is hiring an FPI inspector for its manufacturing services site at Seletar Aerospace View, Singapore. The inspector processes and evaluates parts using fluorescent penetrant, guides trainees and Level 1 staff, and prepares technique sheets that go to the NDT Level 3 for approval. A diploma in engineering and FPI Level 2 with at least 400 hours of FPI experience are required, and night shifts may be needed.

What the job involves

Set up and standardise FPI equipment, process parts and accept or reject indications
Guide trainees and Level 1 staff within the scope of certification
Apply the P&W codes, standards and contract documents that govern the method
Perform system performance checks to the process standard
Draft and maintain procedures and technique sheets for NDT Level 3 sign-off
Contribute to continuous improvement and CORE activities

What you need

Diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline
FPI Level 2 with a minimum of 400 hours of FPI work
Familiar with inspection gauges, tools, drawings and SOPs
Must pass a Jaeger #1 near-vision test and a colour blindness test
Able to handle parts and fixtures using lifting aids
