SGS is looking for an NDT Technician / Quality Specialist in Nisku, Alberta, to inspect and test structural steel components to CSA W47.1 and CSA W59 (plus AWS codes when needed). Alongside MT, UT and PT work, the role carries out third-party verification audits and helps clients develop quality management systems. At least three years of inspection and NDT experience gained in fabrication, construction or industrial environments is required.

What the job involves

Inspect structural steel fabrication and welds to CSA W47.1, CSA W59 and AWS requirements
Perform MT, UT and PT where certified and assess results against acceptance criteria
Record non-conformances and produce traceable inspection and NDT reports
Maintain and correctly use calibrated NDT equipment
Carry out third-party verification audits and help clients build their QMS and prepare for audits

What you need

3+ years of inspection and NDT experience
Background in fabrication, construction or industrial environments
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's licence
Visual inspection certificate from CWB (Level 2 or 3) preferred
