SGS is seeking qualified NDT operators for work at a worksite in Vibo Valentia, Calabria. The operators run conventional ultrasonic, phased array and TOFD inspections, judge results against the applicable codes and deliver inspection reports on schedule. A valid ISO 9712 Level 2 (or higher) with UT, PAUT and TOFD qualifications is required.

What the job involves

Inspect with conventional UT, phased array (PAUT) and TOFD using the equipment provided
Interpret results and decide acceptability under the relevant standards
Organise own assignments to keep to the site schedule
Prepare accurate inspection reports and hand them over on time
Work with the SGS technical team to meet client quality requirements and follow NDT, welding and pressure equipment rules

What you need

Technical diploma or degree in a related field
Valid ISO 9712 Level 2 or higher, including UT with PAUT and TOFD
Hands-on industrial ultrasonic inspection experience
Good technical English for test documentation
Willing to work on site; VT, MT, PT, RT, ET or LT qualifications and energy, oil and gas or petrochemical site experience are preferred
