Acuren is recruiting a CGSB UT Level 1 technician with rope access skills, based in Sarnia, Ontario, to work on projects throughout its Central region. The technician runs ultrasonic inspections of piping, welds, vessels and other plant components, evaluates indications and writes up the results. IRATA certification is needed (or the candidate must be ready to get it), along with a valid driver's licence.

What the job involves
- Run UT inspections on piping, welds, pressure vessels and other plant components
- Set up and calibrate UT instruments and operate them to approved procedures
- Find, assess and document indications or defects, and interpret the results
- Prepare accurate reports that satisfy codes, client specifications and Acuren procedures
- Keep equipment in good working order and follow site and company safety rules
- Communicate findings clearly to supervisors, clients and teammates
What you need
- CGSB UT Level 1 certification
- IRATA rope access ticket (or prepared to get one)
- Valid driver's licence
- Local to Sarnia or willing to move there
- Strong safety and quality awareness, time management and client relations
Pay and conditions
- Pay: CAD 42.05-45.02 per hour, as published by Acuren.
- CA$42.05–45.02/hour depending on certifications (QCCC agreement)
