Senior Pressure System Inspector

Applus+ is a leading global energy service provider looking to recruit a Senior Pressure
System Inspector to travel to client utility locations throughout the Yorkshire area. This role
will be responsible for carrying out assessments of pressure systems and other assets
such as steel frame work.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Pressure System Inspector include but are not
limited to:

The inspector will be responsible for reporting on condition of all assets
listed by the client in a timely and accurate manner
The Inspector shall also be nominated as Applus UK PSSR Technical
Authority
Act as the main point of contact between the client and Applus UK
Accountable to ensure a consistent approach is maintained and
continually improved as applicable to ISO 17020:2012
Preparing and reviewing Written Schemes of Examination (WSE)
Ensuring that PSSR technical Assessors are conducting competency
assessments in accordance with the competency procedure
Provide the Technical Director with support in preparation with UKAS
audits relating to PSSR activities
Act of the point of contact for PSSR related issued
Conduct competency assessments on other PSSR Inspectors within
Applus UK.
What we would like from the Senior Pressure System Inspector:

The inspector must be at a level to meet the requirements of
RG2 CAT 2 to carry out pressure system inspection as well as other
equipment as required by the client
They must have been in an engineering environment for a minimum
of 5 years, 1 of which must have been involved within inspection of
pressure systems
The Inspector must be conversant with PSSR regulations and
BS EN ISO 17020
NVQ Level 43 in an engineering related discipline
Hold IEng EngTech status with the engineering council or working
towards achieving this status
Hold at least 2 PCN qualifications one of which will be UT
API 510 Inspector or ASME Level 2 Plant Inspector
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients and be
a strong team player
Positive attitude and outlook towards all aspects of the Asset Integrity
Inspector role.
