Baker Hughes Process & Pipeline Services (PPS) supports the full lifecycle of customers’ asset from pre-commissioning to decommissioning. We help to reduce future corrosion, improve efficiency and maximize throughput. Our engineered solutions for pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance shutdowns include specialized services for the oil and gas, power generation, metals and mining, and other process industries.

The NDT Lead Engineer drives the change how we engineer solutions. You are responsible for activities aimed at proving a concept to be valid or technically feasible by the application of scientific and engineering methodologies.

As a NDT Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Contributing to the design of ultrasound related lab experiments within NTI and tool validation activities
Building manual expert analysis into automated algorithms through NPI project ideas
Contributing to development and review of ideas for online and offline algorithms &measurement methods used in Ultrasound
Ensuring analysis team requirements are captured and included in the scope of any Ultrasonic NPI developments
Assisting in project budgeting by contributing to project cost estimates to ensure the required effort is matched
Reporting progress, problems and successes on a regular basis as required by the relevant project manager(s)

To be successful in this role you will:
Have completed Bachelor studies with proven experience in Engineering/Technology
Have expertise in NDE with proven professional experience in a related industry
Be able to speak fluent English and German and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrate interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence team, customers and others
Have the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously in a global environment
Have effective problem identification and solution skills
Demonstrate effective analytical and organizational skills
