Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is hiring an NDT technician at its Bedok South Road site in Singapore. The technician performs penetrant, magnetic particle, ultrasonic and radiographic inspections, plus temper etch checks on heat-treated parts, and records accept or reject decisions. Candidates need a diploma, valid SNT-TC-1A, ASNT, NAS410 or EN4179 certification and at least two years' experience with aircraft structures, engines or components.

What the job involves

Carry out FPI, MPI, UT and/or RT and evaluate results against procedures
Run temper etch inspections on heat-treated parts to detect overheating or burns
Read and follow job instruction sheets
Complete system performance checks to the relevant process standards
Prepare and operate NDT equipment and fixtures, including regular calibration and upkeep of test media

What you need

Minimum diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related discipline
Hands-on PT, MT, UT and RT experience in an aerospace setting
At least 2 years working on aircraft structures, engines or components (or equivalent training and experience)
Valid certification under SNT-TC-1A, ASNT, NAS410 or EN4179
Basic understanding of manufacturing, inspection technology and engine maintenance
Preferred: aviation NDT background, MS Office and SAP skills
