Ad Hoc Inspection Report Writer - Oil, Gas & Marine Department

Location: Remotely working from home

Salary: £175 per day

Contract: 0 hours contract or self-employed, ad hoc basis

Position Summary:

Due to growing demand, we are seeking to expand our team of core Inspectors
and are looking for candidates who can be trusted to write detailed technical
inspection reports using the data captured from our drones on an ad hoc basis
(day rate). Typically, assets will cover offshore platforms and petrochemical
refineries. Checked by the Inspection Manager and by the client QA, attention
to detail is crucial.

Responsibilities:

As an ad hoc member of the Oil, Gas & Marine Team you will be accountable
for the following:

Reporting to the Inspection Manager / Team Lead
Compiling and creating inspection reports using Microsoft PowerPoint
Handling large amounts of data through online file hosting services
Editing photographs and video footage
Assessing images or video footage for structural defects, damage, or hazards
Writing technical reports in accordance with client guidelines
of Anomaly Acceptance Criteria or equivalent
Demonstrating risk awareness and significance of safety-critical
management systems
Any other reasonable duty as requested
Experience, skills & abilities required:

Relevant industry experience (2+ years, inspection background,
preferred offshore platforms experience)
Excellent attention to detail with pride in report writing
Excellent communication skills: with team, operations, and clients
Project management experience/good organisational skills
Able to work independently with good timekeeping practice
Able to identify and classify defects and potential hazards
Good data management skills
Skilled in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office
Knowledge in basic photo editing
Understanding of materials, damage and failure mechanisms,
coating and corrosion degradation classification
Eligibility to live and work in the UK
Fluent written and spoken English
Strong proof-reading skills and ability evaluate large sets of information
and data
