KF Aerospace is filling a 12-month term NDT technician position in Kelowna, British Columbia. The technician calibrates equipment and performs UT, ET, PT, MT and RT inspections on aircraft, engines and components, then evaluates and reports results to NDT manuals and specifications. CGSB Level II in ET and/or UT and five years of NDT inspection experience are essential.

What the job involves
- Calibrate test equipment and interpret results against codes, standards and specifications
- Inspect aircraft, engines and components using UT, ET, PT, MT and RT
- Apply the correct acceptance criteria and write up accept/reject decisions per company policy
- Help establish examination techniques while following safety rules
- Coordinate findings, priorities and progress with project and NDT supervisors, customers and management
What you need
- CGSB Level II in ET and/or UT (essential); NAS 410 Level 2 may be considered
- CGSB Level II PT and MT, and CGSB RT qualifications, are assets
- 5 years of NDT inspection experience
- Expected to become qualified (NAS 410 and/or CGSB) in any listed method not already certified
- Comfortable working at heights for long periods and able to obtain confined space qualification
- Able to travel away from base and work with little supervision
Pay and conditions
- Pay: CAD 75,337-92,851 per year, as published by KF Aerospace.
- 12-month term
- Wage band level 8: $75,337 to $92,851.20 a year, plus endorsement pay of $0.50-$2.00 per additional NDT ticket after shop certification authority is issued
