NDT Level III Trainer

OES Asset Integrity Management

OES is seeking an experienced NDT Level III Trainer to join our team, reporting to the Global Technical Manager.

The successful candidate will develop, deliver, and manage NDT training programmes while acting as the company’s technical authority for assigned NDT methods.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and deliver classroom and practical NDT training, including Level I, Level II, and refresher programmes.
Prepare training materials, presentations, practical exercises, and examinations.
Conduct competency assessments and written, practical, and vision examinations.
Qualify and certify personnel in accordance with company Written Practice.
Maintain training, certification, calibration, verification, and competency records.
Mentor technicians and recommend competency-development plans.
Develop, review, and approve NDT procedures, work instructions, Written Practices, inspection techniques, and acceptance criteria.
Provide technical guidance and support challenging inspection activities.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17024, ISO 9712, ASNT SNT-TC-1A, PCN requirements, client specifications, and company procedures.
Participate in internal and external audits and promote continuous improvement.
Ensure practical training complies with HSE and radiation-safety requirements.
Essential qualifications:

ASNT Level III certification, or equivalent, in one or more methods: UT, RT, MT, PT, or VT.
Valid certification under ASNT SNT-TC-1A, ISO 9712, or PCN.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience:

Minimum 10 years of NDT industry experience.
Minimum 5 years as an NDT Level III.
Previous technical training experience.
Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Offshore, Power, Manufacturing, or Marine industries.
Experience developing Written Practices, certification schemes, and competency-assessment programmes.
Required skills:

Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Technical report writing and curriculum development.
Coaching, mentoring, leadership, and team development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Microsoft Office Suite.
Learning Management Systems experience is preferred.
Key performance areas include training completion, certification pass rates, technician competency improvement, audit compliance, delivery against the annual training plan, timely certification renewals, development of new training modules, reduction of technical errors, and zero training-related non-conformities.
