Wind Technical Expert UK

Technical Expert to join the team. This role will be based on one of Applus UK's
many offices, you will be expected to travel throughout the UK as required, to suit
business needs.

The Role

The Technical Expert/Specialist will join our Wind advisory team to provide
technical insight into offshore & onshore's wind projects covering all aspects
of WTG and foundations.

We are looking for engineers and/or technical specialists with wide experience
in WTG inspections and that have a solid technical understanding of the wind
technology.

This Engineer/Technician will conduct analysis of the wind turbine operating
conditions, repairs and/or remedies.
Find solutions and report any issues concerning the wind turbine generator
operation. Perform mechanical inspections: such a blades, foundations
or gearbox, etc.
Analyze the fleet operating conditions, action-plan for countermeasures,
suggest ideas based upon experience and execute after approval.
Assist the project sites with any technical issues in the process of Operation
and Maintenance.
Support in preparing proposals, good understanding of market prices
and strong market-suppliers chain insights.
Make proposals of any innovative idea(s) for wind turbine generator system,
work process, document control, and recommendation /review of documents
related to the wind turbine system.
Conduct inspections of wind turbines at sites for performance issues as
required; review site condition reports for performance and design issues;
issue improvement recommendations as appropriate.
