R&D Engineers

Role and Responsibility
We are looking for highly motivated young professionals that can work closely together within an international and interdisciplinary R&D team of physics, electronics and mechanics. We seek individuals that thrive in a larger development team, but still can work independently and be self-sufficient. To be successful, one must be a quick learner with the ability to be agile in a fast paced R&D environment.

 

The positions are within our Technology Services (TS) group located in Norway, while the NDTG TS headquarter is in Stutensee, Germany. Though part of the work can be done remotely, there will be a requirement to travel between the different locations occasionally. From our Bergen office, you will contribute to our team by joining major development projects for our inline inspection services for natural gas pipelines.

 

Responsibilities:

Technical project member in R&D projects
Design and perform experiments in dedicated laboratory
Design and perform simulations/modeling
Perform analysis of experimental and/or simulation results
Develop algorithms and procedures for analysis of pipeline data
Develop visualization tools for data analysis
Provide commercial projects with detailed technical support
Maintain documentation in line with NDT Global quality system

Qualification and Education
Master or PhD degree in Physics, Mathematics, or similar
Background and/or experience preferably in the following areas:
– general experimental work (laboratory/small-scale testing)

– general simulations/modeling work

– scripting in Matlab/Python, and to a lesser degree in LabView
