Oceaneering is hiring an NDT technical manager based in Batam, Indonesia, to oversee the technical side of NDT operations across Asia, Australia and Papua New Guinea. The manager keeps accreditations and procedures in order, supervises and trains NDT personnel, audits projects and supports business development. A valid Level III (ASNT, PCN or CSWIP) in MT, PT, UT and RT and at least 10 years of NDT experience are required.

What the job involves

Implement and maintain project-specific NDT quality and technical systems and procedures
Train NDT staff for initial qualification or upgrades and advise on techniques
Audit NDT projects on both a scheduled and unannounced basis and coordinate external audits with HSEQ
Visit job sites to check compliance with statutory, client and project requirements
Verify RT personnel qualifications and approve vision test records
Resolve technical issues with clients and third-party inspectors and track new NDT technologies

What you need

Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, materials, science or a related field
Valid NDT Level III in MT, PT, UT and RT under ASNT, PCN or CSWIP
10+ years in NDT, with a track record in accreditation (NATA, KAN), certification management, training and audits
Experience with phased array, TOFD and radiography
Thorough understanding of ASME, API, AWS, ISO and AS codes along with client specs
Familiarity with advanced methods such as PEC, LRUT, IRIS, MFL and subsea inspection
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and handling engineering contracts
