Qatar Airways is recruiting a Level II NDT inspector for its technical workshops in Doha. The inspector leads a shift of NDT engineers, performs and certifies NDT on aircraft and aircraft parts, controls NDT tooling and helps set up capability for newly inducted fleet types. Candidates need EN4179 or PCN (Aerospace) Level 2 in at least five methods drawn from ultrasonic, eddy current, radiography, penetrant, magnetic particle and thermography.

What the job involves
- Lead a shift of NDT engineers against the production plan so tasks finish on time
- Perform, certify and exercise authorisation for scheduled and unscheduled NDT on aircraft and parts
- Make sure inspections follow the latest revisions of manuals and instructions
- Control NDT workshop tooling in line with company procedures and regulations
- Help the NDT Supervisor keep procedures current with EN4179
- Build business cases and arrange equipment for new NDT capability
- Run toolbox talks and nominate team members for training
What you need
- High school, vocational qualification or diploma with 5+ years of related experience, or a bachelor's degree with 4+ years
- Trade or tertiary qualification, or a diploma in aircraft maintenance or higher
- EN4179 or PCN (Aerospace) Level 2 in at least five of PT, MT, ET, UT, RT and thermography; Level 2 in all six is also listed
- Valid company authorisation certificate for those methods
- Proven background in light, heavy or workshop maintenance
- Keep at least five method qualifications valid and renew authorisations before expiry
