Rope Access Level III Technician IRATA or SPRAT

Position Summary:

Acuren Inspection is looking for a Rope Access Level III Technician to support our Joliet, IL location.

The Rope Access Level III Certified Technician is responsible for carrying out duties and responsibilities in a safe and timely manner as assigned by the Rope Access Technician Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of Level III Rope Access Technician
Assist other technicians as required
Ensure operational safety of all equipment
Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Interpret radiographs
Organize and report test results
Perform specialized inspections
May instruct and supervise others
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
IRATA/SPRAT Level 3 Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling
40 Hour Radiation Safety Certification is a plus
Valid drivers’ license required
Complete and pass a DISA Background check
Complete and pass all required Drug Screens
Complete and pass site specific safety council
