NDT & Testing Supervisor

Arabelle Solutions is looking for a supervisor to run NDT and testing at its manufacturing operation in Rugby. The post holder leads the inspection teams, owns test procedures and acceptance criteria, and keeps work compliant with ISO, ASME, ASTM and EN standards. Because the site serves UK defence customers, applicants must be British citizens able to obtain SC clearance.

Methods: UT, RT, MT, PT, VT · Level: Level 2 or 3 (preferred) · Sector: Manufacturing (defence customers)

What the job involves

• Lead, train and develop the NDT and testing teams, including performance management
• Write and maintain test procedures that satisfy regulatory and customer requirements
• Choose NDT methods, set techniques and help define acceptance criteria where none exist
• Oversee inspection of incoming materials, components and finished products
• Look after calibration, maintenance and purchasing of test equipment
• Support audits and external certification, and report test data to management and customers
• Drive continuous improvement and capital investment in testing processes

What you need

• Degree in engineering, materials science or a related subject
• Substantial NDT or testing experience in a manufacturing setting
• Certification in UT, RT, MT, PT and VT, ideally at Level II or III
• Sound knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
• Experience leading teams and working across departments
• British citizen resident in the UK for at least five years, able to hold SC clearance
