About this equipment
New PCWI Compact DC30 porosity (holiday) detector for finding pinholes, air bubbles and porosity in non-conductive coatings on conductive surfaces. The regulated DC output is fully adjustable up to 30 kV and shown on a digital display with 10 V resolution and a battery-condition indicator; the alarm threshold can be set from 500 V and there is a separate sensitivity control. Short-circuit test current is capped at 0.5 mA. The ABS-cased unit weighs 1.45 kg with its clip-on LiFePO4 battery and has an earphone jack for noisy sites. Offered as an industrial or pipeline kit at the same price; the pipeline version adds a spare battery, harness and earphones.
