    Hi everyone

I have a 4″ pipe sch160 with water (but it may also be oil or a mix). We have a CR system and we have to measure thickness. I can’t manage to get clear thickness and i can’t measure it. I’ve tried giving it 500% more time than the one it takes for an empty 4″ pipe with Ir192 of 6Ci.

At 45cm source to film distance I have 12 minutes more or less.

I’ve used double lead screen in the front as well as in the back for back scattering.

    what could be happenig??

I suspect you are on or over the limit of what you can achieve with Iridium. Use Cobalt or go with ultrasonic wall thickness testing.
